Dr. Corey Beck, originally from Boulder, Colorado, graduated from Metropolitan State University in Denver with a major in Chemistry. Following his undergraduate studies, he worked with the Department of Defense as a fuels chemist, contributing to the successful launch of eight rockets, including the last Titan IV rocket. He earned his doctorate from Ohio State University, specializing in Theoretical Chemistry, where he played a role in determining phase transitions between ice phases. Since 2012, Dr. Beck has been a dedicated faculty member at Ohio University, focusing on the pedagogy of large lecture general chemistry classes.
